Innovative Auditor Challenge #2 – 5 CPE event in April!

As some of you already know, we held an Innovative Auditor Challenge event in January 2021 and it was such a success we decided to do it every quarter!
Join us again in April for this 5-day Challenge!
Dates – April 26, 2021 through April 30, 2021
Time – 1PM EDT (10AM PDT, 11AM MDT) One hour per day
CPE Credit – Up to 5 hours of CPE credit – with replay options available!

Michelle Fowler is the founder and President of Fowler & Company, LTD and has been working in banking and internal audit since 1990. Founded in 2001, Fowler & Company’s specialized focus is on internal audit, training, risk, internal controls, and compliance. Michelle is an engaging and highly rated speaker and author. Her diverse combination of Internal Audit training and consulting gives her a unique perspective and provides current “real world” experience. Michelle holds the designations of CPA, CIA, CISA, and CRM. Michelle’s experience prior to Fowler & Company includes time in public accounting, including Deloitte, and working in internal audit shops in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Trent Russell is the Founder of Greenskies Analytics. He graduated from the University of Alabama with an MIS degree before joining Ernst & Youngs’ IT Risk Assurance practice where he served multiple industries. He later joined the Financial Service Office at EY and facilitated the development of data analytics procedures. At Greenskies he develops data analysis and hands-free monitoring solutions for forward-thinking internal audit teams.
Amanda “Jo” Erven, CPA, CIA, CFE, has experience in external audit, internal audit, and various accounting and teaching roles. She started her career in Public Accounting at one of the Big Four firms, experienced a traditional Accounting/Controller role at a multinational oil & gas corporation, and directed an Internal Audit function at an international financial services company prior to her journey as a consultant, educator, author, and speaker. Jo is the author of three books, including Total Quality Auditing®: How a Total Quality Mindset Can Help Internal Audit Add Real Value , and her latest book on ethics and character, Becoming The Everyday Ethicist™. Robert Berry helps improve people, who in turn improve their processes, which improves profits. He is an international speaker, trainer and writer. He specializes in active listening, asking questions and better business writing. Special guest in April:
Dana Lawrence is the Senior Director of Compliance and Internal Control at Azlo, a tech company that provides online banking services for small businesses. She possesses 17 years of experience in the financial services and tech industry, working in a variety of audit, risk management, and compliance roles, including building departments and functions from the ground up, scaling teams, and successfully remediating complex issues. She is active in the IIA and currently serves on the Global Financial Services Guidance Committee where she develops guidance and standards. She also served as a board member, president, and vice president of The IIA–Portland chapter.
