IIA Triad Chapter – Ethics and Fraud Event In Person!
March 19
Jo doesn’t get to travel much these days, but she is excited to make a quick trip over her University’s spring break to North Carolina!
Jo will be doing two sessions for the IIA Triad Chapter:
Morning session – 3 CPE – Behavioral Ethics: Say Something, Even If: Becoming The Everyday Ethicist®
None of us are as ETHICAL as we think we are. I’ll pause here for reaction. All evidence points to the fact our society is not getting any better ethically. The number and variety of recent scandals proves our culture has changed in the last half century to one with a greater emphasis on self, ignoring or rationalizing any unethical behavior involved in our decision-making or actions. I am guessing you are walking around saying you are ethical… it’s time to determine if you are really walking the talk.
Afternoon session – 3 CPE – Specialized Knowledge: Fraud and Pop Culture: Why Hollywood Loves Fraud
Did you know the movie Psycho is a story of an embezzler? From past to present – from fact to fiction – from movies, to podcasts, to books – get ready to dive in to all things “Fraud and Pop Culture.” You will leave this event with a list of new fraud cases, stories, and resources – some that we guarantee you haven’t ever heard of before!
Hope to see you there!
