PwC Ethics Programs – “Say Something, Even If” AND “Identifying Ethics Red Flags Within Engagements”
September 15, 2021
Jo will be spending TWO days with the staff of PwC on Ethics on September 15th and September 22nd, 2021!
September 15th she will be sharing “Say Something, Even If”
Program Description:
We all face ethics dilemmas – it’s time to face them the right way, the first time. “Say Something, Even if” means speaking the truth, even if it seems inconsequential… even if it is difficult… even if it means losing a friend, a client, or even a job.
Ethics in its simplest form, is knowing the difference between right and wrong and having the will and courage to act on it. We like to think of ourselves as being ethical, but the truth is, none of us are as ethical as we think we are. This session is meant to create greater awareness of what it means to adhere to a code of personal ethics, even if.
My approach breaks down our various “blind spots” around ethics… money, peer pressure, group think… so we can begin to understand and face our rationalizations, and change our behavior… so we can each become an “everyday ethicist.”
September 15th she will be sharing “Identifying Ethics Red Flags Within Engagements”
Program Description:
I get it. You don’t think it’s your job… finding fraud. Well, I am here to tell you it is (or should be) part of your job to watch for ethical risks. It’s time we all understand the difference between ethics and fraud. It’s time to start thinking more like a fraud examiner and an investigative journalist. It’s time to keep your organization and your clients off the front page of the paper.
In this session, we will discuss the main types of ethics “red flags” that exist within organizations today, such as: Disingenuous Leaders, Suspect Accounting Processes, Aggressive Incentives & Compensation, and (Un)Ethics & Technology – just to name a few. And you will leave knowing exactly what to start looking for during your engagements.
